Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie is a 2005 Halloween movie that starred Lumpy teams up with tiny Roo for to celebrate our first Halloween adventure around in the Hundred Acre Wood and featuring the characters of Winnie the Pooh franchise. It was released on September 13, 2005 on VHS & DVD, and it was a sequel to "Pooh's Heffalump Movie".

Plot[]

It is a hilariously haunted Halloween in the Hundred Acre Wood and Roo’s new best friend, Lumpy is so excited about going trick-or-treating for the first time, until Tigger warns them about a creature called the gobloon in the woods that he saw earlier, a creature that comes out every year on Halloween to search for people of the Hundred Acre Wood to catch and he will turn any unspecting victims into a "jaggedy lantern" if he catches them, but Tigger also explains that if they catch it first. Before he catches them first they get to make a wish but when Pooh eats all of the Halloween candy, Roo and Lumpy decide to band together to catch the gobloon, vowing to be "brave together, brave forever." This film incorporates an original story line with material from the 1996 video release Boo to You Too! Winnie the Pooh.

Reception[]

Various comments on Amazon reviews criticize that lots of the movie is a Boo to You Too! story sequence and also being scary.

Trivia[]

  • This movie is sequel to "Pooh's Heffalump Movie".
  • Despite this movie being called a sequel to the original, this movie contains some inconsistencies that don't add up to the original.
  • This film marks John Fiedler’s final role as Piglet and thus the final Winnie the Pooh production to feature any of the original cast from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. John Fiedler died of cancer on June 25, 2005 (one day after Paul Winchell died) before completing his lines. Travis Oates was brought in to record the remaining dialogue, which makes this his first role as Piglet. This also marks Steve Schatzberg’s final singing role as Piglet. He died of cancer on August 30, 2008. The movie is dedicated to John Fiedler and Paul Winchell.
  • This is one of the last Winnie the Pooh films to be produced by Disneytoon Studios before its closures in 2018.
  • Although Christopher Robin and Owl don't appear in this film, but Gopher does appear during the Boo to You Too! Winnie the Pooh sequence, which is happening at the same time of the movie. This is his last appearance to date.
  • This is also one of the last Winnie the Pooh films in which Ken Sansom provides Rabbit's voice, but not the last time he voiced Rabbit. His final work as Rabbit was in My Friends Tigger & Pooh. He died on October 8, 2012 due to a stroke.
  • Nikita Hopkins, the voice of Roo, was replaced by Jimmy Bennett.
  • From this movie onward, running time is about one hour and three-to-six minutes.
  • This is the last Winnie the Pooh film to be released on the VHS due to the fact that VHS was being discontinued at the time.
