Pooh and Rabbit

Rabbit gives Pooh some honey.

Honey or often called Hunny by Pooh is a sweet food made by bees. It's easily the most important food in Winnie-the-Pooh, being loved by pooh bears, heffalumps and woozles and enjoyed by rabbits and piglets. Tiggers, on the other hand, as general rule, don't like honey; preferring instead to eat popcorn, malt extract, soup, ice cream and candies, although this hasn't always been portrayed consistently in the Disney Pooh releases. Honey is often misspelled as "hunny."

Winnie the Pooh will generally go to great lengths to obtain honey. If he can't beg or borrow it from his friends, (Rabbit is a frequent subject of Pooh's "borrowing.") he will often attempt to take it from bees, with plans involving balloons and other contraptions.

In the Kingdom Hearts series of games, certain challenges involved collecting honey orbs in order to score points. Honey pots could also sometimes serve to replenish Pooh's health. In the original Kingdom Hearts game, Pooh's love for honey landed him a tight spot as well when he became trapped in Rabbit's window.

In nature, although bears do eat honey, they are mostly after the bees' pupae, larvae, and eggs, which are an important source of fat and protein[1].
