The Bugs are Rabbit's enemies, along with the crows. They are six-legged, green with yellow undersides, caterpillar-like insects that appear as recurring antagonists of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

History[]

Like the crows, these bugs are considered pests to Rabbit's garden as they eat all of his vegetables, especially when they are led by their cunning leader. Also, like the crows, Rabbit has made many vain attempts to get rid of them, but they usually outsmart him and are often driven away by somebody other than Rabbit. They also appear in Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too. In The Bug Stops Here, Roo, Dexter, and Pooh Bear befriend an enormous, yet friendly bug after it was kicked out of its group due to his big appetite for food. He was soon presented as a replacement subject for Christopher Robin's science project after his first bug ran away in fear. After he was released, he was welcomed back into the clan by his fellow bugs after Rabbit begrudgingly gave up everything from his garden to satisfy his hunger.
