Douglas has been a successful painter since the 1970's and has been teaching art currently for the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles. He started animation in 1990 working on Background Art for Walt Disney London on The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. and Layout for The Duck tales Movie. From there he worked on The Thief & The Cobbler, We're Back, Balto, Pinocchio and a animated movie of Cats which was suspended and never revived to the best of my knowledge. In 1994 he did storyboards of the UK Lottery Launch, layout for the Wind In The Willows television series, and X-Men Evolution doing background keys. He also did various pilots for Cybergraphix Animation which include mostly background, layout, and digital color for Foxy Five, Detriot, Godkids, Mythhouse, Infinite Darcy, Guardians of Luna, Coco Peru, Support for Change, Hanako, Kremlin Cats and Coyote Seven in 2008. He also worked for Dreamworks with productions such as Prince of Egypt, The Road To El Dorado, and Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron doing layouts. He also did Toto Saporo, Curious George the Movie 2005 (for July Films) and Princess Twins.
